Report on AGM 9th June 2016
1) Those attending were thanked for their contribution over the past year. It had been a good year with increased numbers playing both socially and competitively. The junior coaching sessions continue to attract new players and the two junior teams who competed on the Bolton League enjoyed an excellent season. There was still a need for people with various skill to become involved in the management of the Centre
2) The accounts were approved. They showed that the club finances are prudently managed. It was agreed that the playing fees for the coming season 2016 / 2017 would remain unchanged
3) The existing committee were re-elected with the addition of Mrs Fiona Barker who joins the committee.
4) Other Matters. a) The playing surface needs to be given attention to maintain it’s safety level. This was approved. b) Bolton Council, who own the building, are in the process of doing maintenance work on the site c) There is still a need to improve club publicity, seek to recruit additional committee members, old and unsafe chairs had been replaced. c) In the longer term the Hilton would seek to renew the lease on the building and explore the possibility of extending the building to provide additional playing and social facilities.
